CHEAP STYLE AT IT'S FINEST

Hi everyone!!!

Something I really take pride in, being a broke college student and as the daughter of a single mom, is my ability to have nice things on a budget! This is one of the many skills my wonderful mother has taught me after my parents got divorced and money became tight all the time!

So this is an outfit I recently put together for a concert I am attending this evening!

hat: target - $9
shirt: garage - $20
patterned shorts: Ross (OH MY GOD LET ME TELL U ABOUT ROSS) - $12
shoes: thrifted - $11

Making this entire outfit around $52!!!!!!!! DID U HEAR ME???? FIFTY-TWO DOLLARS!!!!!!!

Thats equivalent to the money you would make doing less than 1 shift at work!!!

I've decides to share some of my expertise when it comes to saving money and staying in style!!!! I HAVE COMPRISED A MASTER LIST!!!! JUST FOR YOU!!!!!!

-Subscribe to text and email updates from stores! Yes they can be annoying but when you can look CUTE AS HELL that is a small price to pay!!!!!!
- Sign up for fan clubs, points cards and discount cards WHENEVER AND WHEREVER POSSIBLE!!!! Usually just signing up can get you a discount on your purchase!!!!
- RARELY PAY FULL PRICE!!!!!!!!! do you ever go to a store, buy an item, then come back and it being half price when you come back a week later? WAIT FOR A SALE chances are it's not far away ( and with your email and text subscriptions youll be the first to know when a sale starts!!!!!)
- "TAKE AN ADDITIONAL ____% OFF" sales are a sale on an already on sale item!!! ITS A DOUBLE WHAMMY (does anyone even use that term anymore?) AND YOUR BEST FRIEND!!!!
- Stores like Marshalls, Winners, ROSS, TJ Maxx, Etc always sell brand name items marked down and should ALWAYS be a stop on your shopping trip!!
- Organize BIG SHOPPING TRIPS to outlet malls!!! My mom, sister and Inalways make trips to states like Pennslyvania (where there is no tax on clothes) AND CRAZY OUTLET MALL SALES!!! We usually buy WAYYYY too much on these trips but it always leaves us stocked up for the seasons ahead!!
- THRIFTING!!!!!! Used clothes are always cheaper and usually more unique and interesting!! As long as you take your time time to really look through all individual items you'll usually end up with TON of new clothes no other girl in your class will have!! Some of these thrift stores are actually charity shops!!! Making the money spent on your purchase actually go towards a better cause!
- SELL YOUR OLD STUFF!! You have no idea how many clothing hoarders are out there and will buy almost anything!! Some  cities have facebook groups that you can post pictures of your for sale items and people interested will message you and organize a time they can buy it off you!! This makes you some more money to shop with! You can also buy off these groups! Things are usually sold for under $20!! Some thift stores will also buy your old clothes off of you so if that option is abaliable to you, TAKE ADVANTAGE!!!
- Do a clothing swap with your friends!! Compile all unwanted clothes, get your friends to do the same and pick and choose from eachother's piles! Usually, since you shop with your friends your style preferences are very similar!! You'll usually end up finding lots of stuff you love! You might even get to keep that top you borrowed off them but with reluctance, had to give back!!

That's all I've got really, but if you're lucky enough to have a Ross store near by, FOR GODS SAKE SHOP THERE!! JUST TRUST ME ON THIS ONE OKAY????? IT IS MY FAVOURITE STORE! MY FAMILY TRAVELS FAR JUST TO GET TO ONE!!!!!

Alright I have to leave for my concert so i'm signing off!!

Till' next time!!!!

Jade
