BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING

Hello everyone!!! I hope you’re all doing well!!

In just under a week now I move into my brand new apartment & about a week after that classes begin! It's safe to say I'm freaking out ALOT!

I don't know how to be a grown up? Much less be responsible for my own apartment.. IM STILL FOUR YEARS OLD!!!!!!!!!!! The excited feelings I've been having about moving back to school this month have begun to wear off and I've gone into full on nervous basket-case mode!

Now I'm a huge advocator for retail therapy whenever I get into a sad, happy, nervous and/or excited mood..actually I'm just a huge advocate for retail (ok I'm a boarder line shopping addict but I'm working on it!)

As a way to ease my panicky feelings I decided to take a small chunk of the money I've been saving and working for all summer to treat myself to a good day of back to school shopping at the outlet mall!

So enough of this introduction I want to share/brag about all the great stuff I got yesterday!

HERE WE GO PALS:

STRIPED T-SHIRT DRESS

Recently I've been really into buying items that support the cute but slouchy look (my mother says this style makes me look like a grandma wHO CARES!!!!!) I picked up this t-shirt dress from Winners & falls right into that category! It's actually very similar to what I wear to bed most nights (just a large t-shirt and underwear) but is more socially acceptable! It's basically perfect because I get to look cute but dON'T HAVE TO WEAR PANTS!!!!!!!! FABULOUS!

FLATS WITH TASSELS

I will admit I splurged a bit on these ALDO shoes but I definitely think they were worth the money! I find these shoes extremely versatile which is what I need considering I'm a student & I can't afford to be buying new shoes to match all my outfits! The tassels near the toe give them a casual look however the gold pieces attached to the tassels give them a classier look making them also perfect for when I want to dress up! They leather is a neutral light brown colour so I already know they will go with so many outfits I'll wear and be comfortable as hell!

GENERAL COMFY CLOTHES

The flannel of the left is actually a boy's medium flannel I purchased from Blue Notes while the leg warmers on the left I also picked up from Winners! Both pieces are made of extremely soft and warm material and SO COMFORTABLE! I'm a person who is literally ALWAYS cold even when it's summer and 25 degrees outside! So when were in the deep freeze snowpocalypse hell we call "Winter" here in Canada clothing like these SAVE ME LIFE! Especially this year when I have a 10-15 minute commute to campus!

PATTERNED DESK CHAIR

I took this picture of the chair I purchased right off the IKEA website simply because it's just took much effort to take it out of the box, read the lengthy instructions and attempt to put this chair together all of the sake of a picture! However, it's just super cute & I couldn't not include it in this post! I've been working on putting together a cute bedroom for my apartment all summer and this is just the perfect addition to my blue, white and grey colour scheme! I love the 4 buttons on the backing of the chair giving it a pillowy look and the back of the chair also has 2 bows you cannot see but are absolutely adorable and fit the cutesy/homey look I was going for! When walking out of IKEA I refused to use a shopping cart to carry it out and was literally hugging this chair to my chest soley because I'm that in love with this chair.

For all of these items I spent just over 200 dollars which I don't think is bad at all! I'm so happy with everything I purchased and I can't wait to use it all when I go back to school!

SEE!!!! This shopping spree brought a bit of my excitement back for going back to school so I guess you could say the retail therapy worked?

Till' next time!
