My Face Make Up Essentials: Benefit Base

HELLO FRIENDS HOW ARE YOU?!

This is going to be a more beauty based post so I hope you enjoy it!

I used to believe the most important part of doing my makeup every day was my eye make up. Eye make up compliments one of the features I liked best about myself (my eyes) and when I did it well it covered up the fact that I usually live off little sleep due to my insomniac like tendencies, by making my eyes look wider and brighter. I often spent loads of money on buying high-end mascara, eye shadow and eyeliner and since I did this there was always little money left to spend on other make up like face makeup.

THIS. WAS. A. HUGE. MISTAKE.

Not only did I begin to breakout because I was using low quality make up but I also did not have the proper make up to cover up the acne I was quickly building up. NO AMOUNT OF EYE MAKEUP CAN COVER UP BAD SKIN OK!!!!

I soon realized I needed to start using better products to not only clear up my skin, but to make my face look brighter and more awake! I didn’t need to use as much eye make to look bright and refreshed if the entirety of my face already looked that way!

Discovering a face make up regime has definitely been a journey. I’ve picked up a few tips along the way that I am here to share with you today so you can put your best face forward!

These two posts are me explaining how I make my underlying skin beautiful and radiant before I even put on my make up!  I don’t have to wear as much face make up by following these skin care tips!

Okay now onto the products I use. These products coincidentally are all from the same brand, not because I like to match them on purpose but because after trying so many different face products I always seem to like these the must. However, there is a benefit that they do compliment each other since they’re made by the same creators.

And speaking of benefits…..tHE MAKE UP BRAND IS BENEFIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Benefit has really unique products that are not really common in many lines. However, these unique products make all the difference in the world! They really let me stand out when it comes to face make up!!

Here are four particular pieces of their face make up I have no idea how I ever lived with out!

“That Gal” Brightening Face Primer

This primer has brightening ingredients which make you look awake and fresh even if you were up all night! Its priming properties also keep your face looking like new all day by solidifying the make up on your face. It saves your from having to reapply make up that rubs off during the day! If you ever feel like you need a brightness pick me up in the middle of the day you can even reapply it over top of your make up and it will still work! Personally sometimes I even wear it on its own if I’m quickly going out to run errands and don’t feel like putting on a full face of make up! It gives me a natural looking glow and I don’t feel like a complete slob!

Erase Paste Concealer

ERASE PASTE HAS BEEN MY SAVIOUR FOR 3 YEARS NOW! Oddly enough I picked up this item at a benefit vending machine like thing that was in an airport? SO WEIRD! You had to like swipe your credit card and punch in a number and the product you wanted came out! CRAZY! Anyways I use this product for my under eye circles mostly and the small spot pimple I get once in awhile! This paste is like a thick cream that is thick enough to completely cover imperfections but somehow doesn’t look cakey! I have no idea how they do it! I usually apply this under my eyes with small brush then rub it in with a make up sponge or my fingers! I then cover it with a generous portion of light loose pink powder, a colour which is great for covering the look of dark blues and blacks under your eyes. This is a magical combination! The loose power sticks to the thick cream fantastically!

Poise Tint Cheek and Lip Stain

This product is one of my absoloute favourite products I have ever owned! The product is a 2 IN ONE (AMAZING) and gives you the cutest and flirtiest glow to your cheeks! The colour is a petal pink so it is nice and soft! Honestly I feel so girly and cute when I have it on! I always bat my eyelashes at myself in the mirror I DON’T KNOW WHY! I always use it in combonation on my lips and cheeks! The cute pink colour coming from 2 parts of  you face you’re your face look so warm and welcoming! Honestly it is perfect for any flirty look! Since it is a stain it lasts a long time and I usually never have to reapply! It comes in a nail polish like bottle and is applied with a nail polish like which is also fun to use when applying! I JUST LOVE IT SO MUCH IM HAVING TROUBLE PUTTING IT INTO WORDS!!!!!!

Girl Meets Pearl Luminizer

Finally, girl meets pearl is already a cute enough name to tell you this product is going to be great right?  I love to use this product when going out or whenever I feel like my skin looks extra dull (especially in the winter.) It gives a dewy healthy glow but not one that is too dramatic or glittery!  This product is so quick and easy to use because it can make you look so fresh and awake without the need for contouring! I also use it as a highlighter especially around my eyes when I’m looking for a more dramatic look! I will also run this over my cheeks after I apply blush because it gives a shimmery look that really brightens my smile! As you can probably tell by now this is a very versatile product and you can use it in any way or place you like! It is easy to apply and is not too flashy! There are SO MANY good reviews on this product so I 100 percent recommend it to anyone and everyone! I’ve even heard older women use it to help with aged skin to make it look younger!

All these products have to be some of my favourites in my entire collection! Often I switch up the make up I use but I always go back to these products and repurchase them! I really love how they work in combination with my skin. They’re all in cute packaging with cute names AND MAKE ME LOOK CUTE!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THEM!!!!
